SOUTH COAST DENMARK & MØN

Start the tur at our Bike Station Café Parforce in Klampenborg and go south. The tour takes you through Copenhagen to Køge where you can experience the recreative milieu Vestskoven, before you turn towards the coast and end in Køge.

From Klampenborg you can also chose to take a detour past Roskilde where you can visit the Viking Museum and experience Naturepark Skjoldungernes Land, before you go south and end in Køge. 

The route from Køge towards Møn offers a lot of possibilities. Eastwards along the coast you can experience the UNESCO World Heritage Stevns Klint, which offers plenty of majestic nature experiences besides the breathtaking view over the Baltic Sea on top of the cliffs. Visit the small harbor town Rødvig, make a stop in Bosedal Kallkbrud or visit the Cold War Museum Stevnsfort. It houses the biggest secret in Denmark.

Do you however chose to follow the route away from the coast you can bike to Gisselfeld Monastery and the Wood Tower at Camp Adventure. 

Follow route 9 southwards along the coast, but try a detour along panorama route 425 to Faxe Kalkbrud and Geomuseum Faxe, where you can rent a hammer and chisel and explore the limestone quarry and hunt petrified sea urchins, corals and fossils. On the way there you pass Faxe campground with a lovely beach, the beach forest Sibirien and Vemmetofte Monastery Park, which all invite for a well-deserved break. 

In the idyllically borough Præstø you can shop in the cozy cobbles stoned streets, enjoy the food or some ice cream on the harbor or a dip on the beach at Præstø Fjord. You can also visit the theater park The World of H. C. Andersen.



Try solving riddles and puzzles in Kalvehave Labyrinth park where the whole family can train their brains and on the ‘sailing bike lane’ on the Ferry Møn that takes you from Kalvehave to Stege you can experience a beautiful boat trip crossing Stege Bay. 

In Kalvehve you find One Way Bike Tours BikeStation, but before you drop-off your bike you should visit Møn and the breathtaking 128 meter tall cliffs at Møns Klint. 

Jump of the bike and walk the almost 500 steps of stairs from the top of the cliff and down to the beach, where you also can hunt fossils and find some who are almost 70 million years old. There are experiences for small and big at Geocenter Møns Klint where you can learn everything about how the cliffs became. You can also experience ‘the good old days’ at the Collecters Musuem Thorsvang in Stege, where also the ferry takes you back to Kalvehave, or you can experience the southwest of Møn and the cozy local community: the burial mounds Grønsalen and Målerhøjen and the idyllic Fanefjord forest. You can visit the many local galleries, farm shops and local producents of food.

Get back to the main Zealand via the Baltic Sea Route National route 8 towards Kalvehave passing over Queen Alexandrines Bridge. From here you can go back to Kalvehave or maybe take a detour to Vordingborg where you can experience The Castle Centre of Denmark and learn about The Castles of Denmark and the power of the Kings trough-out the time or instead try the interactive Ghost Hunt at the castle site.
